It's been a long winter here in New England! My California self is not used to the long, cold season! I'm adapting, or should I say, re-adapting to my new environment by working on jewels that have been inspired by the colors around me. 

During the snowiest part of the winter I gravitated towards grays, whites and blues, using lots of labradorite, pearls, aquamarine and iolite. As the Spring green began to emerge, so did peridot and turquoise.

Spring here has been unfolding slowly. Every day I see new shoots of life. Every day a new color appears in the landscape. I have been loving the vibrant yellows of the forsythia  now complimented by the brilliant purple hues of the azaleas, all against a deep green background. ...
